This was a nice bike, really, but the silver frame showed every scratch, the seat was junk, tires shot, and overall appearance was poor. I stripped it to the bare frame, and the owner repainted it with silver Imron Metallic. Very, very nice. Its the same shade, but now metallic, and looks far better. You can see the freezer wrap, thickly wrapped around all the mounting areas, an inexpensive method of protecting the frame. engine degreased looks wonderful, and has 150 psi compression with no damage, except the alternator cover.

more pieces arriving daily, got a nice seat pan, new cover, the cables arrived this afternoon, ran into a snag on the tires. will need to buy new, the nice looking originals we found came apart when we aired them up. The forks are exceptional. carbs clean and nice. shocks cleaned up very well. rims are also exceptional for a 42 year old dirt bike.

The basics are on and tight. Front Tube failed. new one installs tomorrow. pipes still at blacksmith shop, seat at shoe shop. All bolts and nuts machine polished to remove rust, chrome polished as best possible.

What a fun project! Most of my bikes consume so much cash I have to sell them to recover it. This was much easier... Not mine. I estimated $1000 parts and labor, he supplied tires.  tires he brought were junk so it has new copy on front and NOS on rear.

It fired first kick, seriously. the carbs were cleaned by  several owners!! stock brass needles leak some, they should seal ok. Either way, this Panther Gold SL350 lives again, and rides as new.
Graduation Day!  Owner saw it run for the first time, and its STRONG. 100 percent of rated power. No smoke, no noises. top end silent!
